Ask your setting manager to give you documents that are available for parents to read before making their commitment to use your setting. How would you adapt this information for:A blind person? A person who does not speak English? A person who cannot read?
Your role will often bring you into contact with adults who have difficulties communicating with you. Use the internet to find out ways that you can adapt the way you communicate to ensure effective communication with those:Who have a hearing impairment;Who do not have English as a first language; Who do not speak English; Who have a visual impairment; Who have a stammer, or other speech impediment.
