- Read the book ‘Safeguarding Children across Services: Messages from Research by Davies, Carolyn and Ward, Harriet (2011) published by Jessica Kingsley.
- Read some serious case reviews or public enquiry reports. Look for common themes and consider whether the reviews and reports are an effective method for improving the protection of children and young people.
- Carry out research and use this to create a resource pack that could be used by colleagues to develop their understanding and appreciation of safeguarding issues and practice.
