Talk to your line manager about what arrangements are made for a child who refuses to eat while at your setting. Does your setting have a specific policy for food / drink for a child who is ill?
Consider what facilities your setting has for caring for a child who is ill. Is there somewhere quiet and comfortable for the child? Are there any improvements that could be made?
Conduct your own research on the internet, at the library and using your colleagues, to create a resource bank of activities, idea and strategies that practioners might use when caring for a sick child.
