Case Study
Take a moment to consider occasions when you have had to convey different work-related information to different audiences:
- What was the purpose?
- Who were the audience?
- How did you ensure accuracy to the document where applicable?
- How did you ensure accuracy and currency of the information?
- How did you ensure the chosen communication channels were appropriate for all receivers?
- What methods did you use to check everyone understood the intent?
- Reflecting on these occasions, and using the knowledge you have gained in this lesson, what would you do differently when faced with a similar situation now
It is rare that there is just one way to respond to a scenario or situation, so do not consider that the response you have chosen to this scenario will be judged as right or wrong. Share your scenario with a work colleague and ask them to tell you if they think you have responded appropriately. Ask them to challenge your response if necessary. You do not need to submit this task for assessment unless asked to do so by your tutor.
