Click the link to access an article called ‘Disabilities and health: Healthy living’ which was produced by the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention. Read the article and look at the other sections, links and the short video. Consider if there is any areas of good practice that you could bring into your setting.
Click the link to access the Government website and read a summary of the rights of disabled people. Read the article, thinking of the activities that you undertake in your day-to-day life, and consider how your access to these activities could be restricted if you needed care. For each restriction, consider the laws that may be relevant for ensuring your rights.
