These leaflets must not take the place of your own setting’s policies and procedures for administering medicines, but they do provide useful additional information about the medicines described.
Look at this example policy and procedure for administering medication to children and young people at this childcare service in the London Borough of Hillingdon. Compare the policy to your own setting’s policy and procedure documents. Do you notice anything very different about them? Discuss your thoughts with your tutor.
