Case Study
You have just attended training on person-centred planning with your colleagues from the staff team. You found the whole concept fascinating and you are keen to start implementing this in your service. You have been asked to explain the idea and what you have learnt to the rest of the team.
1. How would you go about explaining person-centred planning to more inexperienced members of your team? 2. What ideas can you give to the team of ways to incorporate person centred thinking
It is rare that there is just one way to respond to a scenario or situation, so do not consider that the response you have chosen to this scenario will be judged as right or wrong. Share your scenario with a work colleague and ask them to tell you if they think you have responded appropriately. Ask them to challenge your response if necessary. You do not need to submit this task for assessment unless asked to do so by your assessor.
