Carlos is a new starter in your organisation. At school he used an Apple Mac computer, but all your IT systems are Microsoft machines. He is struggling with using his computer and you have discovered that he is just turning off his computer at night without logging off. You have also spotted that he is also using the same password for all his accounts – ‘123456’.

What problems can be caused by turning off the computer, rather than logging off?
- According to your organisation’s policies and procedures, who is responsible for checking that the computer is still operating correctly?

It is rare that there is just one way to respond to a scenario or situation, so do not consider that the response you have chosen to this scenario will be judged as right or wrong.
