Case Study

Holly and Rishi are apprentice administrators who work at Westwich Local Council. Their contract with the council is for 18 months and they have been in post for 6 months gaining experience in various different administrative roles. They have been asked by their line manager Julia, to look at how their department delivers their service offering to see if they can make any suggestions for changes that will improve how the department works. They are both at a complete loss as to how they can undertake this task.
  1. What do you think they should do?
It is rare that there is just one way to respond to a scenario or situation, so do not consider that the responses you have to the above scenario will be judged as right or wrong. Share your scenario with a work colleague or friend and ask them to tell you whether they think you have responded appropriately. Ask them to challenge your response if necessary. You do not need to submit this task for assessment unless asked to do so by your assessor.
