Anushka is a very active 65-year-old lady.

She lives at home with her husband Malik, whom she cares for following a stroke. Anushka has started to forget things and just thinks it is her age. Mailk has to be dressed in the morning and is unable to walk without assistance when he goes out so Anushka takes him in a wheel chair. Freda is a carer who comes in twice a day to help Anushka and Malik.

On seeing Anushka and observing Anushka’s memory difficulties and unusual behaviour, Freda suggests to her that she see her GP. A few weeks later Anushka is distraught as she tells Freda that investigations with the GP have confirmed that she has the beginnings of Alzheimer’s disease.
