The Barts Health NHS Trust Play Team, supported by Barts Charity, provides highly specialised support for children and young people undergoing a range of treatments. From bereavement and chemotherapy support to explaining diagnosis and treatments, the team comprise trained and qualified professionals who have a key role in supporting children at each stage of their journey in hospital. The team also provides emotional support for families as well as having a vital role in the child’s psychosocial wellbeing.
