Lucy’s parents are keen for Lucy to be ready to start school in September and they have asked you to prepare work sheets for Lucy to do whilst with you at the setting.You have spoken to your manager with your concerns that Lucy has become withdrawn and less confident. Prepare notes to share with Lucy’s parents at a meeting you have organised to discuss:

• The innate drive for children to play.
• Links with the UNCRC in relation to recognising the importance of play
