Understand how health and social care services meet the care needs of individuals through the lifespan

Case study

You have a friend who is just leaving school that wants to work in health and social care. However, they do not know what age of individual they wants to work with and what services might be available for that age group.
  • What can you tell your friend about the range of health and social care services that are available to people at different stages in life?
It is rare that there is just one way to respond to a scenario or situation, so do not consider that the responses you have to the above scenario will be judged as right or wrong. Share your scenario with a work colleague or friend and ask them to tell you whether they think you have responded appropriately. Ask them to challenge your response if necessary. You do not need to submit this task for assessment unless asked to do so by your assessor.
