Fedir is 18 months old and has just started at your setting. He has been brought to the UK from Ukraine by his grandmother. On talking to the grandmother through a translator you have discovered that his mother, a trauma doctor, has remained in Ukraine and that he hasn’t seen his father in 9 months.

It is rare that there is just one way to respond to a scenario or situation, so do not consider that the response you have chosen to this scenario will be judged as right or wrong.
