Imran attends nursery and he will be four years old on 25 August. He is due to start school in 4 months, at the start of new school year in September. Although Imran is making generally good progress in the prime areas of learning, he still struggles with using the toilet, undressing, and dressing himself

.Imran talks excitedly about the idea of 'big school', however, he sometimes appears anxious and talks about his friend Sarah who won’t be going to the same school.

1. Can you provide a monthly plan to support Imran to become competent in using the toilet and undressing and dressing, so he is better prepared for school?
2. All children’s worries in the first week of school are that they don’t have any friends yet. How can you support Imran and give him the skills he needs to get to know other children?
3. What other activities can you plan in the summer term to help all the children that are moving on to school?
