Be able to maintain the relevance of a personal and professional development plan

Reflect on the feedback you have been given by different people and under different circumstances.

Perhaps in a one to one, or in a group, possibly your last appraisal, or when you helped someone. Write down an example of when you actually were given good feedback:
  • What was it for?
  • How was it given to you?
  • What made it good?
  • How did it make you feel?
Then do the same taking into account when you were given bad feedback. Think about whether or not each example helped you progress, and how/if you adapted the way you work and what you learned from it. Also remember these examples when you give feedback to others.
