Numeracy and the learners

You will be teaching a class of new year 7 pupils in the beginning of the school years. You are aware that some of the class are coming from a primary school with a good reputation for numeracy teaching, but you know that others may not have a solid understanding on the subject. You want to understand both the pupils’ understanding of fractions, and their attitude to maths in general.
