These ‘Resources designed to encourage children to eat a healthy and balanced diet’ are from Public Health England, and include toolkits for schools.
Public Health England have also produced ‘Food teaching in primary schools: A framework of knowledge and skills’ which is a guide to the knowledge and skills expected of primary school teachers who teach children about food.
This document ‘Nutritional guidance for early years food choices for children aged 1-5 years in early education and childcare settings’ was produced by Healthier Scotland. Although the National Care Standards are not relevant, the information on ‘Eating habits, nutrients, foods and menu planning’ have useful information, as does ‘Additional information; and ‘Putting nutritional guidance into practice’.
