Greystanes Disability Services in Australia have produced a group of videos looking at person centred active support. The first video has been used as a good practice example but the remaining videos show good practice in assessing the levels of help each individual needs and breaking tasks down into manageable steps.
This article from the Virginia Department of Education’s Training and Technical Assistance Center looks at ‘Task analysis; Teaching multistep skills made easy’. Although the article refers to children it is relevant for breaking a new activity into manageable steps for any individual.
