Case Study
You have planned an activity for children that uses the picture ‘Sky Blue’ by Kandinsky as a starting point. You introduce it and ask the children to tell you what they can see. You expect them to say they can see fish-like creatures. You had planned to use the picture to talk about the underwater world of fishes and creatures. The children are convinced, however, that the picture is of aliens and creatures from outer space. They can even see one of them wearing a space helmet!
- Should you correct the children and steer them towards your way of thinking so that you can continue with your planned activity?

It is rare that there is just one way to respond to a scenario or situation, so do not consider that the response you have chosen to this scenario will be judged as right or wrong. Share your scenario with a work colleague and ask them to tell you if they think you have responded appropriately. Ask them to challenge your response if necessary.
