Be able to use observations to assess and plan for the developmental needs of children in line with current frameworks
This video, produced by Laser Learning, looks at how two practitioners are using observations made in a longitudinal study, to guide how they improve the resources for the setting. The practitioners have noticed that one child is interested in the patterns that can be made in damp sand and decide to develop this by making available more resources to make patterns. Watch the video and make notes. Is there anything in the video that you can use in your setting? Do you have resources to make patterns and footprints for the children to look at or use?
