NHS England have produced a document ‘Monitoring health and health inequalities: A position paper’ which looks at equality based on the nine characteristics under the Equality Act 2010. Read the section 2 ‘Why equality and health inequalities matter?’ and look at section 4 ‘Questions and categories for equality collections’ which gives more information about the diversity of those you will meet.
Find a copy of the 'Candidate Handbook for the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care', published by Heinemann and read the pages on diversity and discrimination.NB. You should be able to borrow this book from your local library or it may be available online as an electronic version.
