Look at your setting’s policies or procedures on welcoming a child or young person into the setting and making them feel comfortable. Make a note of them for your reference.
Think about the feelings a child or young person may have when coming into a new setting or classroom. When, or at which part of the day, do you think they might need the most support? How can you help them to understand the timescale of their day and adjust to a new routine?
