Find and read ‘Planning Children’s Play and Learning: Meeting children’s needs in the later stages of the EYFS’ Jane Drake (4th Edition 2013 Routledge).NB You do not need to buy this book, you should be able to borrow it from your local library or setting.
Observe an area of the play environment for a period of time (20-30 minutes perhaps). Write a reflective account of how the children use the area. What are the strengths and weaknesses? What improvements could be made?
