Carry out some research at the library or online and begin to create your own resource file of ideas for activities that will support and/or extend children’s emergent literacy.
Have a discussion with some of your more experienced colleagues about strategies they use for developing emergent literacy. Make notes of strategies used with different ages and developmental stages.
