Read: Chapter 2 ‘Quality is made in the boardroom’, Chapter 3 ‘By what method?’, Chapter 4 ‘There is no such thing as instant pudding’, and Chapter 5 ‘A system must be managed’.

Find a copy of John Beckford’s ‘Quality: A critical introduction’ (3rd Edition 2009, Routledge). Read Part Two ‘The Quality Gurus’ which looks at Philip B. Crosby, W. Edwards Deming, Armand V. Feigenbaum, Karu Ishikawa, Joseph M. Juran, John S. Oakland, Taiichi Ohno. Also, read Chapter 25 ‘The Final Intervention’.
